In
supporting Heather, teacher Charity Munro said: "One of Heathers
strengths is that she is a goal-oriented person who looks at a challenge as
an opportunity. She is able to focus on the task at hand and work independently
in order to meet a deadline. She has spent countless hours on the school yearbook
but also wrote for Highlands school newspaper, which received an international
second place rating with the Quill and Scroll society. Balancing these deadlines,
along with her school requirements was impressive. Heather shares a positive
energy with all around her and is a well-rounded individual, participating in
band, as well as volunteering her time in numerous fund-raising activities.
We wish Heather the very best with her studies. We would also like to thank
Charity Munro of Highland Secondary School, who took the time to encourage and
support Heathers application for this scholarship. Charity has taught
in many schools and acted as a staff sponsor/advisor of yearbooks. Her promotion
of journalism, photography and graphic design is commendable. |
